At the Clinic

You will experience the most amazingly gentle yet successful pigmentation treatment available

The resurfacing treatment takes place using pHformula ingredients that target hyperpigmentation.

What Makes This Treatment Different?

Skin Resurfacing with pHformula's unique PH-DVCtm (delivery vehicle complex). No burning, no dramatic post peeling just a light, subtle flaking as the skin regenerates from the deeper layers correcting uneven colour as the skin reconstructs.

How does the treatment work?

The success of the M.E.L.A. range is based on pHformula’s  unique combination of Salicylic, Phytic, Mandelic, Azeloglycine and Lactobionic Acids plus the PH-DVCtm, a superior delivery complex used to facilitate the penetration of the active ingredients down to the basal layer of the epidermis where the melanocytes, the pigment forming cells are generated.

The unique pHformula M.E.L.A. powerclay levels1,2,3 formulations penetrate to the deep layers of the epidermis stimulating epidermal differentiation which leads to accelerated cell turnover causing the removal and reduction of already formed melanin pigment.

What can be achieved?

Significant visible reduction of UV induced hyperpigmentation and similar conditions. For optimum results 4 - 8 treatments are recommended depending on the type and depth of the pigmentation. Treatments are structured between 1 and 4 weeks apart depending on the M.E.L.A. level used. Maintenance treatment is recommended thereafter as the skin continuously produces pigment forming cells together with the pHformula M.E.L.A. home care routine.

Am I suitable for treatment?

All skin types I-VI with unwanted melasma, chloasma, hyperpigmentation, solar lentigines, freckles and similar. This treatment can be used in combination with IPL and Laser treatments for photo-rejuvenation and pigmented lesions.

Is there any downtime?

None that interferes with your social life, slight redness, temporary dryness and mild shedding or flaking may be experienced post resurfacing treatment for up to 5 days, this is minimised in appearance with the use of the pHformula Post Recovery Range.

Post Treatment Advice?

As with all treatments a daily SPF 30-50 is recommended applied at 2 hourly intervals if outside.
