How does the treatment work?

Facial, neck and decollete dilated capillaries are treated using IPL. A combination of IPL and Nd:YAG 1064nm laser is used to treat leg telengectasia. Light energy is applied to the skin where it is readily absorbed by the dilated blood vessels, heating them to a point where they are destroyed. The treatment is mildly uncomfortable but there is no need for anaesthesia and the procedure is quite quick.

What can be achieved?

This is one of our most popular facial treatments offering close to 100% success depending on the presenting conditions of the client.

A long-term solution to general facial problems such as flushing (Rosacea), dilated capillaries, telangiectasia and thread veins in a few quick and easy treatments, usually up to 4 or 6-8 in more extreme cases are needed for optimum results.

Acne Rosacea can be corrected and further outbreaks to the affected area prevented without the need for oral medication. Small lesions may clear in one session following the compulsory in-depth consultation and test patch.

Am I suitable for treatment?

The treatment is suitable for most people.

Ageing, photodamage, steroid use and pregnancy can be triggers. Alcohol, stimulants such as caffeine and spicy foods can all exacerbate this skin condition. It is also thought to be hereditary and stress related.

Is there any down time?

After treatment the area may feel warm for a few hours. Delicate skin areas such as the cheeks towards the eye area can be taut, reddened and slightly swollen for around 48 hours after treatment.
